Prepare in Prayer - Message by Jono Laning

Please read Luke 11, Jesus prayed a lot and he said a lot about prayer!

  • He often prayed to God
  • He gave us a model prayer.
  • He told us to keep on praying.
  • He said it's OK to keep it short and simple.
  • He said not to make a big fuss about our praying.
  • He said God loves to answer us and give us good gifts.

Please memorise Jeremiah 29:12.

Scriptures to Read and Memorise

Please read Matthew 18:21-35, and discuss the importance of forgiving as Jesus forgave us (Luke 23:34) and so many other references!

Questions to think about:

  • What is something Jesus has forgiven you for?
  • Why is it hard for us to show that type of forgiveness to others?
  • Who is someone you need to forgive?
  • Let's do it!

Be The Gap! - Message by Jono Laning

SCRIPTURES TO READ AND MEMORISE

Please read  2 Kings 22, and discuss the importance of "being the gap." Josiah (who became king at 8YO) didn't follow the example of "everyone else," Not even his evil king father and grandfather etc. or of his other advisors and fellow subjects who worshiped idols and did evil in the eyes of the Lord. Josiah was a "gap" in the domino chain, stopping the sin continuing.

Please memorise Romans 12:2a.

There are so many awesome and amazing Easter crafts easily accessible online. Rather than choosing and mentioning them here; as they ultimately depend on the items readily available in people's homes; we strongly encourage you to Google Images "Christian Easter Crafts" and choose one or more from the wide variety that will pop up. Letter, Picture or Video message to the elderly:

There are many people, especially those in elderly care, who are not able to see their loved ones because of lockdowns and safety restrictions caused by the coronavirus COVID 19. It would be wonderful to send them an encouraging message, draw them a picture or write them a letter about what you are up to at the moment. If you email them to me, Meike De Vries will make sure they are read by those she has contact with.
