Connect groups are an integral part of the vision of CityLight Church for pastoral care, discipleship, edification, evangelism and community. Each Connect Group is like a lighthouse in the community with the goal of drawing people to Christ. Our desire is that every member and regular attendee be part of a Connect Group. It is the way that we can connect and form meaningful relationships within the church.
Connect Groups enable us to serve people in love and hospitality; provide leadership training, reproduce leaders; and provide an opportunity for people to reach their potential in Christ through corporate discipleship.
"And they continued steadfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers. Then fear came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were done through the apostles.Now all who believed were together, and had all things in common, and sold their possessions and goods, and divided them among all, as anyone had need. So continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they ate their food with gladness and simplicity of heart, praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved.(Acts 2:46)
Day after day, in the temple courts and from house to house, they never stopped teaching and proclaiming the good news that Jesus is the Christ. (Acts 5:42)
